The most typical reason for a bosch dishwasher to stop draining is because the filter or water pump is clogged with food debris. It’s critical to keep your dishwasher in good working order and clean it thoroughly regularly. Check other errors of bosch dishwasher like e22 error code.
Troubleshooting Guide
When your Bosch dishwasher does not drain, there are a few things you should check. Use these diagnosis procedures to solve the problem.
Clogged Air Gap
“Where is the air gap on my Bosch dishwasher?” you might be wondering right now. You should be aware that not all dishwashers have an air gap. If your model does, it’s most likely a tiny cap on top of the sink that you’ll need to remove or unscrew. Clean out the cover!
Cloggy Filter
Is there still water in your dishwasher afterwards the cycle is finished? A Bosch dishwasher that isn’t draining water might as be a matter of cleaning out a clogged filter. Remove the bottom rack to get at the filter tube and clear any food or debris away by turning counter-clockwise.
Clogged Drain Line
“Oh, NO! My Bosch dishwasher still has water in it!” This is a little unsettling, but check the drain line that connects the dishwasher to the sink or garbage disposal. Clogs are frequently caused by debris building up in this area. Remove the drain hose and clean it out.
To determine whether there is a clog in the line, look at the drain hose. The water should flow freely through it. If you see any impediments to the draining process, clear it with a sponge.
Pump Failure
Drain pumps push water through the drain hose. If the pump fails, the water will not be drained. Check for continuity on the drain pump with a multimeter. If there is no continuity, the part must be replaced because it cannot be repaired.

Hi,
I am having the same issue with draining and water being left in the bottom of my Bosch dishwasher. I get error code e24. I have tried the following:
-cleaned all drain tubes. No blockages anywhere inside the machine, all the way to the sink
-removed water matrix and cleaned. No issues
-Replaced drain pump with new
Not sure what else it can be. Any help appreciated! Thanks

I just had the same problem. Checked filters, pump, etc. Ran a probe (old piece of telephone cable) through the drain hose. Finally I pulled the machine and observed the action of the water inlet device located on the side of the machine. It handles not only the water input, but also the waste drain. It seems to include an air gap, which had a gap, but water only trickled through when draining. I disconnected the drain hose and drained the device, also getting as much water as I could from the hose from the pump to this device. I put it all back together and ran a rinse cycle. The drain flow was much more robust, and there was only the smallest of gaps at the top of the loop
Hey Tom, Thanks for sharing your experience with us..
Hey there,
Thanks for your insight. My Bosch is old, and motherboard was replaced 2 years ago. I just had new countertops put in and a new sink. Same garbage disposal. The water is at the bottom of a cycle, intermittently. I wonder if it has to do with the disposal, new sink or something. Thoughts? Much appreciated.
Annie
